@julie_stella Grad students usually do really well and use it to explore topics. Undergrads seem to view it as just another hoop for a grade

@jenveltsos The learning outcomes are: writing with a purpose (answer Q) and in good form, writing practice, and writing on a deadline.

@jenveltsos I have a really prescriptive rubric w/word count, so that helps, but folks usually write more.
